McDonald’s: The food giant will add more than 1,000 workers in California

The fast food giant is adding more than 800 workers at its San Francisco headquarters and a handful of other locations in California, according to company officials.

The workers will join more than 2,000 who were hired as of Friday.

The expansion of the McDonald’s in California follows on the heels of the company hiring nearly 1,100 workers at three stores in the San Francisco Bay Area this year.

The expansion comes as the company prepares to begin a massive expansion in other states, which is set to open in 2018.

McDonald’s already employs more than 100,000 people in California.
